RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Security Technicians who hold a DCJS starting Monday, June 9th

Job Title: Security Technician
Location: Sandston, VA
Duration: 3 months
Start Date: 6/09/2025
Job Description:
The right candidates will:
o Have an active DCJS
o Experience running, terminating and testing security low voltage cabling (22/4, 20/4, CAT 5/E, CAT 6).
o Installation, mounting and pointing of security cameras
o Complete all the wiring, connections ensuring that security cameras are complete.
o Installation and troubleshooting of IP and analog cameras and NVR's.
o Basic understanding of CCTV client software installation
o Dress and route cable from IT closets to device locations
o Build out Security equipment racks.
o Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
o Follow written and oral communication displaying professionalism with colleagues and management.
o Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up jobsite, OSHA).

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Active DCJS
• 3+ years of commercial Security installation specifically IP cameras.
• Security Manufacturer/Product Certifications - preferred.
• Active OSHA 10 - preferred

Tools:
Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver (multi-Bit), tape measure, snips, pliers (needle nose and channel locks), punch down tool, flashlight, work boots (steel toe or composite toe) gloves and tool pouch.
