As a Certified Medical Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
  • Upload cognitive results and create encounters for testing.
  • Triage patients in office and via telemedicine. Make sure to watch the time and keep triage to 15 minutes to allow maximum amount of time with the patients.
  • Answer phone calls. Make sure any medical questions/prescription questions and answers are entered into the EHR under chart notes.
  • Check patients out. Make sure to go over their care plan, schedule follow-up appointments, give any referrals to office manager to be sent.
  • Pre - authorizations and Cover My Meds.
  • Check fax inbox and upload and/or print documents as necessary.
  • Return physical therapy Plans of Care.
  • Make sure to monitor cognitive tests and all supplies and notify office manager when they need to be ordered.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
A few must-haves for our Certified Medical Assistants:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Must have 5+ years of experience
  • Telemedicine experience is a nice to have
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant certification in Georgia is required
  • CPR certification and First Aid (must be from an in-person class) (Will not accept any online certifications)
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have experience with electronic medical records system.
